The participants of ARTMAG network have obtained financing for realization of project entitled "National Centre of Magnetic Nanostructures for Spintronic Applications - SPINLAB". The project is implememted within the framework of Operational Programme Innovative Economy.

FNP Prize 2009 - for prof. Józef Barnaś.
Council of Foundation for Polish Science has awarded prizes for outstanding achievements and scientific discoveries for the eighteenth time. Prizes of Foundation for Polish Science are regarded as the most important scientific distinctions in Poland and are called "Polish Nobel Prizes". Professor Barnaś from Physics Institute of Adam Mickiewicz University and Institute of Molecular Physics of PAS, member of ARTMAG network, was awarded for theoretical creation of spintronics foundations, especially for explanation of giant magnetoresistance (GMR) phenomenon.

FP7 Marie Curie Networks for Initial Training (ITN) FANTOMAS -"Femtosecond opto-magnetism and novel approaches to ultrafast magnetism at the nanoscale."

Participation of network partners (IMP PAS + UoB) in PEEM measurements at ICTP-ELETTRA, Triest, in the frame of project: "Influence of interlayer magnetostatic interaction on magnetic structure in NiFe/Au/Co layered films."

Establishment of laboratory of femtosecond magnetooptical technics at the Department of Physics of Magnetic Materials UoB. Construction of the laboratory is supported by ARTMAG Network.
